English Train Journey was another twitter bot I made. Similar to Procedural Despair, the bot is written in tracery and hosted through Cheap Bots, Done Quick! English Train Journey was designed to use the constituency name generator developed for EduGov. As with EduGov, the name components were gathered from real place names within the UK.
The variety of English Train Journey is primarily in the place name generation, with the format of the tweets being relatively limited. However, given the small scale of this side project, the variation in generated tweets was considered adequate for its purpose.
Overall, similar to Procedural Despair, the development process was enjoyable and fairly satisfying. With the goal of developing another use for the amusing place name generator completed to satisfaction.
