A mod for Paradox Interactive's Hearts of Iron IV. The mod allows users to free over 15 new countries, both real and fictitious, from their occupiers. As of 23/06/21, the mod has over 4,500 unique downloads and has received several major updates introducing new countries and features whilst maintaining compatibility with Hearts of Iron IV as Paradox released new content for the game.
Active development work on the mod was stopped after a significant number of countries originally included in the mod were added to the base game. Following this the mod's source code was made publicly available for anyone who wished to continue developing it.

Given it was my first modding project for a Paradox Interactive game, More Liberation's limited scope and relatively simple additions served it well. However, due to this More Liberations incrementally became more and more obsolete as countries within the mod were added to the base game in updates.
Relative historical accuracy was observed by reading up on relevant history and historical sources. However, partially due to inexperience at the time, some of the added countries lacked in the quality of research conducted whilst developing them. This improved over the mod's lifecycle and affected countries were updated and improved in this regard.

More Liberations was designed with a very narrow and well designed scope. The mod's only feature was the addition of new countries who could be released from their occupiers. The focus was less on historical accuracy, although this was observed in many cases, and more towards allowing players to balkanise countries into new, similarly sized nations. This allowed players to break up countries they had defeated without having to annex the territory.
The mod was later updated to make use of custom game rules which were a feature added in an update to Hearts of Iron IV.
